In the tradition of Blake, Morris and "Les Livres Des Peintres," MFA Contemporary Atelier is pleased
to present "Bar Mitzvah: The writings of David Mamet and the art of Donald Sultan," the third in our acclaimed series,
Master Contemporary Books. It is the story of a young boy who, on the eve of his Bar Mitzvah, learns about life from an old man
in whose hands an antique watch reveals something of mans relation to God. This very special 17" x 22.5" volume is entirely hand silk-screened,
printed on museum quality, 300-gram archival coventry 100% Ph neutral rag paper. Smythe sewn and hand casebound in brama leather, it is a timeless and
exquisitely crafted piece of art and literature. Mastered with over 150 hand-created plates, the book includes four signed, removable prints
and an additional 16 bound prints with uncompromised attention to detail, including hand-inlayed 22 carat gold leaf and hand-deckled paper, set in a limited
edition of 395 consecutively numbered books. A deluxe edition for museums and other important public collections is also available in a signed edition of 100,
with information on request from MFA Contemporary Atelier.
